What Clients Have to Say…
“My marriage has been a pain filled merry-go-round for the better part of the past 27 years. In that time, I’ve tried couples counseling and individual therapy on numerous occasions, but none of these professionals were able to help.
It wasn’t until I turned to the Internet, that I started to understand the true nature of the problem… my husband is a sex addict.
I also discovered Kathy Elliott, who has been nothing short of a “god-send!” She’s not only helped me tackle difficult questions, such as whether I should stay or leave him and what to tell our children, but she’s helped me truly understand that I am NOT responsible for my husband’s addiction.
She’s also given me a ton of concrete tools to help me set better boundaries and navigate all of my emotions, and has opened up a path to healing that I never thought was possible.
Thanks to Kathy, I can honestly say I feel more stable, confident, and even optimistic than I’ve felt at any time in the past two decades. Whether or not my marriage survives is now less of a concern. What matters most is that I’ve finally found help for me!”

“When I first discovered my partner of 15 years was a sex addict, I was simply in shock. It seemed our entire life together had been a lie.
I scoured the internet for information and support, and as my denial turned into despair, I started individual counseling and joined a 12-Step group for partners.
The counseling was helpful – at least at the beginning – but that quickly turned into another type of trauma as the therapist seemed to be essentially blaming me for enabling my partner’s addiction.
The rigidity of the 12-Step program was even worse… as a lesbian woman who’s never had much more than a passing interest in spiritual teachings, I felt more alone after joining the group than I had before.
But I knew I still needed help, so I kept scouring the internet until I found Kathy.
I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical when I called her. I was in so much pain and had already been in therapy for months to no avail. But Kathy answered each of my questions calmly and compassionately, validated my experiences, and provided the non-judgmental support I so desperately needed. She also provided actual, applicable advice that has helped me cope, move forward, and heal.
I really believe the time I’ve spent with Kathy has changed the trajectory of my life, and I not only feel better equipped to deal with the trauma of my partner’s betrayals, but to also handle any other challenges life throws my way!”

“Thank you so much for talking with me today, and for just listening and being there!
I’m incredibly grateful, not only for the tools and resources you provided, but because I now feel I know where to go from here and how to put one foot in front of the other again.
I can’t tell you how much better I feel just having someone like you who’s “been there” validate my experiences and everything I’ve been feeling. It was definitely useful and I feel a lot clearer on what to do going forward.
You provided more than just proof that recovery, healing, and a better life are possible… You’ve given me hope that I can achieve them! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Kathy!”
